Israeli-made seaweed gel could prevent future heart attacks

Israeli company BioLineRx has developed a special seaweed-based gel that tests show helps regenerate heart muscle tissue following heart attacks.

The substance is created using typical brown seaweed. It is injected into the heart as a liquid and then hardens into a gel-like sheath protecting the heart and giving its tissue time to properly heal following a heart attack. By allowing the heart to fully heal, the gel significantly reduces the likelihood of repeat heart attacks.

The gel, dubbed BL-1040, was recently licensed by New Jersey-based Ikaria Holdings for $282.5 million.

Clive Comments:

It is interesting to see that medicine is turning toward the natural to get results.  You will see more and more of this turning as time goes on, and at a faster pace.  The complete mineral array of the ocean is brought to its fullest advantage by the plants (vegetables) in the ocean. No action or reaction in the body, physical or chemical, can take place with out its necessary and unique minerals.  I take a capsule every morning from this goldmine, that includes Atlantic Kelp, Dulse Seaweed, Irish Moss, Red Algae, Chlorella, and Spirulina.  Minerals from plants are in their most bioavailable size and form.  The body is tricked into absorbing chelated minerals into the bloodstream, but that does not make them bioavailable.  Even the popular nano-sized minerals are rocks compared to the angstrom sized minerals available from plants.  If you want the best of the best, think of it this way... plants rock!

Health is a choice.  What health is not: fate determined by your genetics.  What health is: the end result of the choices you have made, or your lifestyle.  Keep in mind that you are the only one that determines your destiny.
